The funeral team has received 4 requests for assistance.


Marshfield Fire:

The funeral team is assisting Marshfield Fire with services for former
member Scott Gray.

Services will be announced on completion.


Cole Camp Fire:

The funeral team is assisting Cole Camp Fire with the non-line of duty death
of member Unser Brockman

Arrangements will be announced on completion


Hillsboro Fire:

The funeral team is assisting Hillsboro Fire with non-line of duty death
services of Eric Smoot.

Arrangements will be announced on completion.



The funeral assistance team is providing logistical assistance for the Line
of Duty Death funeral of Paramedic Jennifer Hellelbein, AMR ambulance.
Jennifer was injured in the line of duty in 2013 and died as a result of
those injuries.

Jennifer Joan Hesselbein, age 34, of O’Fallon, passed away on Tuesday,
December 17, 2019. She was born on October 08, 1985 in St. Louis, Missouri
to Forest Hesselbein and Carol Hesselbein.

She is the beloved daughter of, Forest and Carol Hesselbein (nee: McVey);
loving sister of Stacey Hesselbein, Craig (Adriane) Hesselbein, Michele
Hesselbein, Rebekah (Raj) Madan; cherished aunt of Elijah Madan; dear
granddaughter of Carl and Delcie Hesselbein and the late Raymond and Doris
McVey; dear niece of Nancy McVey, Thomas (Barb) McVey, Timothy (Barb)
Hesselbein, Brian Hesselbein and the late Anita Fortner; loving fiancé of
Jason Randall.

Jennifer fulfilled her calling as a paramedic for the last 10 years with a
true passion and desire to help others. She also had a tender heart towards
caring for animals in need. Her legacy to love, laugh, smile and care for
others will be carried on by her family and friends. Jennifer also loved her
days on the softball field with her sisters and many friends. She is loved
and will be missed by all knew her.

Funeral service for Jennifer will be 9:30am Saturday, December 21, 2019.
Burial will follow in the Lakewood Park Cemetery. The family will receive
friends on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at
Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center.
