For Immediate Release

 

It is with deep regret that the Green Township Fire Protection District (5
miles west of Chillicothe, MO on 36 Hwy) announces the Line of Duty Death of
Fire Fighter Ed Cosgrove a 11-year veteran of the fire department.

 

Ed died after suffering a medical emergency while fighting a vehicle fire.

 

Ed was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on February 2, 1963. He is survived by
his long-time companion, Thyrra Gillihan; one brother, Johnny Cosgrove; two
sisters, Lina Berten and Amie Pierson; and several nieces and nephews. He
was proceeded in death by his parents.

 

Visitation:

Visitation will be held from 6PM - 8PM Wednesday July 27, 2016 at the
Lindley Funeral Home, 910 Washington Street, Chillicothe, Mo. 64601 

 

Uniformed Members walk-through will occur at 7:30PM.

Funeral:

Funeral Services with full firefighter honors will be held 10AM Thursday
July 28, 2016 at Lindley Funeral Home, 910 Washington Street, Chillicothe,
Mo. 64601

 

Honor Guards are being requested and should contact Eric Reeter via email at

phone at 660-646-8147.

 

Apparatus for the procession is being requested. If you agency is bringing
any emergency apparatus, please contact Michael Smith via email at

913-548-5737.

 

A funeral procession will travel from the funeral home to the Green Township
Fire Protection District, 402 Throop, Utica Mo. where firefighter honors
will be completed. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to the Green Township Fire Protection
District
